         MPlayer-0.92-MoviX Menu Help

             ** HD partitions **

All the partitions of your PC will be available under
the /discs/ directory.
The remote partitions you may have mounted are available
wherever you've mounted them ;-)

             ** CD/DVD drives **

All of your CD/DVD drives are accessible through the
/cdrom0 , /cdrom1 , ... directories

** Playing all files of a CD **

Just select 'Play -> Play CD' from this menu and all
files contained in your drive will be played.
If you have more than a drive, then 'Play -> Play CD'
will lead you to a further menu that will let you
choose the drive you want to play from.

If your CD contains mp3/ogg files then MPlayer will
extract and display all info (if any) about the audio
tracks. If their number is big please be patient since
the operation may take ~60seconds for ~100 files.

            ** Playing DVDs **

MPlayer needs the libdvdcss package to play crypted
DVDs (i.e. 99% of the DVDs around).
Since that package seems to be illegal in many
countries, it is *not* included in the MoviX ISO you
find in the movix Web site, i.e. you won't be able
to watch your DVDs with it.

Read the README on how to add libdvdcss to MoviX
if legal in your country.

  ** Switching audio track/subtitles **

You can switch "on the fly" audio track or subtitles
through the menus 'Preferences->Audio channel'
and 'Preferences->Subtitle selection' of this menu.

      ** Changing video aspect **

You can set "on the fly" the correct aspect for
your video, if MPlayer fails to do so automatically,
from the 'Preferences->Video Aspect' menu.

NOTE THAT this won't work if you are using the
'fbdev' driver unless you are also using the ':vidix'
subdriver (that is automatically turned on by MoviX
when available).
In this case switch the MPlayer Video Output driver
to 'vesa' from the MoviX menu and everything will
work fine.
